The screen suspends by candlewick from the ceiling and is weighted with deerskin lacing tied around eleven railroad spikes that lay on the floor. A video projects on the screen and can be viewed from both sides of the screen. The installation of this piece should allow the viewer to walk around the work. By bringing together railroad spikes gathered from my summer trek (as mentioned above) and a looped video of walking on the bedrock of Beausoleil island in Georgian Bay where my Ancestors once lived. I meld aspects of my family history to find a place for my own narratives within the stories and memories of my family
